The Cache is located in Mohawk Mountian state Forest you can approach the cache from many directions you can pick your own or take mine. I think mine is the easiest.
This cache is near a great trout fishing pond. I have fished it many times and caught my limit. You can see the cache location from the boat launch and look to the left and see the towers. The cache is a few feet off the Blue Blazed Trail to the Mattatuck tower. From the road at 41°48.196N and 073°17.942W to the parking area at 41°48.591N and 073°17.636W. To locate the trail from the parking area look to the HEAD if you own a large boat you know what that is if not look for the outhouse. The trail starts near. The hike is 0.26 miles by the way the crow flies. If you would like it is 1.9 miles to the tower. The cache is an ammo can.
