Geocache Description:

This is a 3 stage multi cache that starts next to an alligator with a creature much older, with all stages within a mile; it finishes on a private residence. Stage 1 and 2 can be done in any order.

Stage 1
Find the dinosaur at the posted coordinates and look at the head. Count the sword shaped, white & gray horns/spikes on the head (pointing all directions, including the ones fanning out from the top of the head (but not counting the 2 below the ears, nor the giant horns between the eyes and mouth). That number is the missing AA in the orange highlights on the final coordinates below.
Stage 2
Climb the leaning pine tree at N 44° 55.198 W 093° 13.954 (listed in waypoints tab). The first branch on the underside of the tree (the side it leans toward) is part of a ring of branches pointing out from the trunk, 21 feet high. Count how many branches in that ring (including that first branch on the underside), and subtract that number from the blue highlighted digit below for the final coordinates. There are some branches 8" above that are quite clearly not a part of this ring. There is a photo of some of them to help you spot it. Reaching the first branch is hard and you might need a small step ladder if you aren't keen on difficult climbing.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

The posted coordinates are on a green space next to an unused business building, visible from the sidewalk but not quite from the street. No need to leave the sidewalk to get the number you need. Stage 2 is in a public park and we have parks and rec permission to climb the tree here. The final is under a short bushy tree, right at the trunk in the center. We have permission from the home owner for this geocache here.
