Geocache Description:

Another country bridge? Maybe to you, but I'd like to share the specialness of this bridge with you. When my son was younger, we would turn off the TV and head to the bridge. Sometimes he would fish for suckers and sometimes we would throw rocks in the water, whatever it was it was together time on the country bridge.

In the Spring time, migrating warblers love the trees around the creek.  Redheaded Woodpeckers raise their young in the dead tree to the east of the bridge.  Great Blue Herons fish for food from early Spring to late Fall and Kingfishers live along this creek all year long.  Barred Owls are often heard calling in the woods while Wild Turkeys wander in and out of the woods often crossing the road near the bridge.

The county did a terrific job planting wildflowers when the bridge was built.  Purple Spiderworts, Partridge Pea and Compass Plant are a few of the wildflowers planted near the bridge.  Be sure to enjoy the view in both directions. You might see a racoon headed to bed if you come early enough or look north to enjoy the pasture with mature oak trees and horses grazing under them.  Be sure to look for minnows and throw a rock in the water.
