This area of land belongs to the cache owners and their families :) When we bought it we became part of a National forestry project, Hekluskógar. The aim of it is to re-forest á big area around the Queen of mountains, Hekla. Hekla is a volcano and due to eruptions, wind and human activities the forest in the area all but disappeared. We are doing our bit and have planted through the years over fifteen thousand trees here :) Some day these trees will be big and this will be a forest again.
It our plan to have a really big cache here but in the meanwhile enjoy this one here :)
