Geocache Description:

Barwell in Leicestershire is a village and parish within the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough, the parish includes the hamlets of Potters Marston and Stapleton. With a population of 9,148, the name literally translates as "Stream of the Boar" and is said to originate from a boar that used to drink from the well near a brook in Barwell.

Come and explore the idyllic Leicestershire countryside. Fields full of cows, horses, sheep and maybe a boar. Fields left to meadow and not to mention this trail leads to a pub!  I have spent hundreds of hours over these parts. It's amazing the wildlife you get to see. Only the other day whilst out maintaining these, I came across a slow worm. I highly recommend doing these in the evening prior to sunset, allowing yourself enough light. These trails are easy to walk at night though, some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen have been over the fields. I have shared a new photograph I have taken on every cache page. I would love to see any you take on your hunt.

These caches have been placed in the hope to encourage new and old players to explore this beautiful area. Geocaching is so much fun. Some of these cache' are 3d printed and something I am experimenting with. Please report any problems.

Please check out our other cache's a short walk away.

I have made all efforts to not damage any of the areas surrounding my cache’s. They have all been placed in existing and natural spots or using existing infrastructure. Please be mindful that some of these fields are used for livestock throughout the year so please be mindful of your dogs, children and any litter you may have with you. Please leave the locations as you found them and if you notice anything out of the ordinary then please let me know and I will visit the cache area to try and resolve. If you can’t find the cache, then please report it rather than ‘Throwdown’. In order for a log to be recorded you must physically sign the logbook of each cache. If you don’t your log will be removed from the page.
