Attention All Local Cachers!
Where Have You Gone?!
If you look at various statistics, or caching chronologies over a period of time, many cachers have lulls. We have had some pretty bleak years ourselves but have recently got back into the swing of things. Now that we are fully immersed in the game again, we look around and see evidence of cachers in the midst of their own lulls. For an area that was once ripe with cool and unique hides and FTF hounds, there isn't much happening now. We look around and ask ourselves, "Where have all the cachers gone?" (Do you hear Peter, Paul and Mary?)
This is your call to come out of GeoRetirement and join us for pizza if you like. We aim to kick off a new GeoSeries: In a League of Their Own (ILTO). Our ILTO series will be a series of caches dedicated to all those who made it fun for us back when we were getting started and caching often. There will likely be some dedicated to outliers-- cachers who never hid, cachers who "drove up" here, and cachers who moved to or from the area will be honored over time.
We thought it might be fun to get together with old cachers from the area and meet the new ones as well. If you have never visited Mike's before, it is a great local business to support and we recommend trying it! Middle's favorite is the Pesto California, while Mr. People enjoys the Combination. Feel free to join us at any point during the event, for as long as you are able to! Even a ten minute visit would be amazing! How many cachers from the area can we get? First to arrive (and one randomly selected cacher from the log) will be awarded Co-FTF. We hope to see a bunch of you!
