Pico da Benvinda
O Pico da Benvinda está localizado a norte da Ilha do Porto Santo e possui uma altitude de aproximadamente 90 metros. Geomorfologicamente, caracteriza-se como um cone, ou seja, uma elevação com vertentes uniformes e com declive acentuado. Sendo de pequena altitude, a ascensão é curta. Geologicamente, está inserida num complexo de escoadas lávicas do Miocénico Inferior.
Do topo deste pico, obtemos uma vista privilegiada sobre a Enseada dos Barbeiros e a linha de costa ao sopé do Pico do Ninho do Guincho. Daqui, é possível também observar a imponente vertente do Pico da Juliana e do Pico da Cabrita, responsáveis pelo depósito de sedimentos nesta vertente, e que em regime torrencial, escorrem pelas cravadas ravinas, dividindo esta área em vários cabeços. Quanto à vegetação, é bastante abundante no inverno.
Pico da Benvinda is located north of Porto Santo Island and has an altitude of approximately 90 meters. Geomorphologically, it is characterized as a cone, that is, an elevation with uniform slopes and a steep slope. Being of low altitude, the ascent is short. Geologically, it is part of a complex of lava flows from the Lower Miocene.
From the top of this peak, we have a privileged view over Enseada dos Barbeiros and the coastline at the foot of Pico do Ninho do Guincho. From here, it is also possible to observe the imposing slopes of Pico da Juliana and Pico da Cabrita, responsible for the deposit of sediments on this slope, which, in a torrential regime, flow through the steep ravines, dividing this area into several hills. As for vegetation, it is quite abundant in winter.

Vermelho: Este é o caminho mais rápido e fácil de chegar até à cache. Contudo, é em simultâneo o caminho menos atrativo.
Azul: Este é o caminho indicado, pois para além de ser seguro, possibilita abordar o pico por uma área mais diversificada em termos paisagísticos e oferece ainda a possibilidade de visitar o Porto do Pedregal. Ao longo deste trajeto, existem também algumas caches que poderá realizar até este ponto.
Verde: Este caminho é basicamente uma continuação do trajeto a azul. Porém, com início junto à casa da lancha no Porto do Pedregal. É um caminho difícil, e apenas recomendado aos mais aventureiros, pois literalmente não existe trilho, e dará por si a subir no meio da vegetação rasteira, sem trilho e apenas com um objetivo, chegar ao topo desta elevação geomorfológica.
Red: This is the fastest and easiest way to get to the cache. However, it is at the same time the least attractive path.
Azul: This is the recommended route, as in addition to being safe, it allows you to approach the peak through a more diverse area in terms of landscape and also offers the possibility of visiting Porto do Pedregal. Along this path, there are also some caches that you can do up to this point.
Green: This path is basically a continuation of the blue path. However, starting next to the speedboat house in Porto do Pedregal. It is a difficult path, and only recommended for the more adventurous, as there is literally no trail, and you will find yourself climbing in the middle of the undergrowth, without a trail and with only one goal, to reach the top of this geomorphological elevation.
De facto, este Pico, se é assim que o podemos chamar, não está cartografado e não é um nome reconhecido. É apenas, uma denominação atribuída por poucos portosanteses, em homenagem a uma mulher de gema, que muito deu a esta Terra, nascida numa localidade em que atualmente restam ruínas, o Pedregal.
De modo a recompensar o longo percurso até este pico, desenvolvemos uma cache criativa e apelativa, que certamente, deixará um sorriso, para além de todo o cenário daqui visto. Tenha cuidado ao manuseá-la, e ainda mais cuidado, no afastamento das próprias pedras. Consulte a imagem spoiler.
In fact, this Peak, if that's what we can call it, is not mapped and is not a recognized name. It's just a name given by a few Porto-antheses, in honor of a woman of gem, who gave a lot to this Earth, born in a place where ruins currently remain, Pedregal.
In order to reward the long journey to this peak, we have developed a creative and appealing cache, which will certainly leave a smile, in addition to all the scenery seen here. Be careful when handling it, and even more careful when moving away from the stones themselves. See spoiler image.
