Geocache Description:

This geocache has been placed to celebrate 23 years of geocaching and 12 years of International Geocaching Day. But you can obviously find this on any day you desire. This cache is a nano, so you probably can't fit swag, unfortunately. Make sure you place it back where you found it and use stealth while making the grab. Parking on the trail is prohibited. Please find an appropriate place to park and use the trail to navigate to ground zero.

If there are any issues with the cache, feel free to message me or write a "Needs Maintenance" log.

International Geocaching Day is on the third Saturday of every August! Geocaching started all the way back in 2000, 23 years ago. The first GPS-located cache was placed on May 3, 2000, by Dave Ulmer of Beavercreek, Oregon. Since then, millions of geocaches have been placed worldwide! International Geocaching Day started in 2011 at the 2011 Geocaching Block Party, now geocachers worldwide celebrate this day on the third Saturday of every August. Last year there was an attempt made to beat the record of most geocachers logging a find in a single day. The record to beat was 126,833, set on August 11, 2013. August 20, 2022, came around and a whopping 112,477 users either logged a find on a geocache or Adventure Lab or attended an event. While that is an impressive number, it was still not enough to beat the record. Everyone who participated still received the souvenir, Geocaching World Record Attempt 2022.
