September 9th is Worldwide Flashmob Day! In dozens of cities around the world, hundreds of geocachers are hosting flash mobs: some coordinated at the exact same time! The WWFM is the annual GEOCACHING flash mob extravaganza which was started in 2007 by Team PodCacher.
Let’s put Hitchin on the map with a flashmob in the town centre at Market Square. Please bring a ☂️ colourful ☂️ umbrella ☂ with you, the brighter the better! Arrive slightly before 6pm but please don’t gather together, instead stay at the edge and act like a muggle! When the clock strikes 6pm lets all come together by the clock at the coordinates with your umbrella opened, whatever the weather! Hopefully it will be dry and sunny!!
A group photo will then be taken, and a short video with our spinning brollies. A logbook, possibly an umbrella, will be available to sign afterwards and an opportunity for exchanging trackables, along with general geochat.
When the clock strikes 6.30pm, the event will end and we must all disperse!
