Akvarij se nalazi u blizini Rogozničkog mosta, u obnovljenom Aquarium parku uz šetnicu uz more. Obuhvaća područje nekadašnjeg otoka Kopera. Javni morski akvarij zanimljiva je atrakcija kojom žele prikazati raznolik život u moru.
U ljeto 2013. službeno je otvoren jedinstveni javni morski akvarij u obnovljenom parku u Rogoznici, na Novoj rivi. Akvarij je dugačak 12 metara i širok 1,5 metara i napunjen je morskom vodom. Dom je morskih vrsta koje se dobro podnose. Stanovnici i drugi posjetitelji mogu uživati u atmosferi parka i raznolikom morskom životu iza stakla. U akvariju žive orada, hobotnica, ježinac, morska zvijezda i druge ribe. Najveća atrakcija je plavi morski pas. Ovo je jedna od autohtonih vrsta morskih pasa kojih u Jadranskom moru ima oko 29. Nije opasna vrsta, iako u čeljusti ima tri vrste zuba, a leđa krase karakteristične peraje. Akvarij je osnovala Općina Rogoznica u sklopu revitaliziranog parka. Cijeli projekt općinu je koštao oko dva milijuna kuna. U akvariju plivaju orade, kirnje, morske mačke, a na morskom dnu obraslom ježincima i morskim zvijezdama leži hobotnica. Najveće zanimanje brojnih turista na otvorenju izazvala su tri mala morska psa. Prve večeri akvarij je posjetilo više stotina posjetitelja, a najviše interesa bila su djeca. Uz akvarij je postavljena informativna ploča koja detaljnije opisuje stanovnike akvarija. Nasuprot akvarija nalaze se klupe. Park ima i zeleni otok s igralištem za djecu. Park je lijepo uređen i održavan, posađeno je mediteransko bilje, drveće i začini.
