Geocache Description:

The Kitazawa River Greenway is a 4.3-kilometer-long promenade that extends from Akatsutsutsumi upstream to Daida, Daizawa, and Ikejiri downstream.
Until around the early Showa period, the Kitazawa River was beautiful and rich in nature, used for agricultural water. Today, the river is used underground as a sewerage system and above ground as a promenade with a murmuring stream.
Along the greenway, flowers and grasses, which have been beautifully cared for through the tireless efforts of the local residents, show their seasonal expressions.

The poet Sakutaro Hagiwara built a house and lived just below Tower 61 on Daita Hill, one of Tokyo Electric Power Company's steel towers, around 1933. The steel tower is also depicted in a novel by his daughter Yoko, making it a valuable asset associated with literature, and it has been selected as a regional scenic asset.

The cache is located near the greenway overlooking the steel tower.
