旧マッケンジー住宅は、旧マッケンジー邸の通称で親しまれている静岡市駿河区高松の海岸沿いに建つ白い壁が美しい洋館で、昭和15年に竣工した故ダンカン・J・マッケンジー、故エミリー・M・マッケンジー夫妻の旧宅です。
夫は茶貿易商として、夫人は社会福祉家として静岡市にゆかりのある人物で、夫人は静岡市の名誉市民第1号でもあります。
建物の設計は日本各地に多くの作品を残したウィリアム・M・ヴォーリズです。
昭和47年の夫人の帰国後は静岡市が所有し、市内に残る数少ない戦前の洋館のひとつです。

現在は耐震工事のため、令和7年まで臨時閉館中だそうです。
赤い屋根に白い壁、そしてアーチ型の窓が特徴的な、遠目に見ても美しい洋館です。

The former Mackenzie House is a Western-style building with a beautiful white wall built along the coast of Takamatsu, Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City. This house was built in 1940 for Duncan J. Mackenzie and Emily M. Mackenzie.
Duncan J. Mackenzie is a tea trader, and his wife Emily is a person who is related to Shizuoka City as a social worker, and she is also the first honorary citizen of Shizuoka City.
The design of the building is William M. Vories, who has left many works in various parts of Japan.
After Emily M. Mackenzie returning her home in 1972, it is owned by Shizuoka City and is one of the few pre-war Western-style buildings in the city.

Currently, it is temporarily closed until 2025 due to earthquake-resistant construction.
