Location: Westminster Woods Park
Note: The terrain off the parking lot ranges from about 1.5 to 2.5 but the lot itself is a T 1.0. There is a storm water management drainage ditch closeby that might have water in it, depending on the rain. It's not necessary to go into that area to participate in this CITO, however.
Bring the kids! There is a great play structure, basketball court, and even a porta-potty! Dogs are welcome but note that this is not designated as a leash-free area.
The purpose of this event is to help clean up the parking lot plus the naturalized areas that surround it. The parking lot here is used for access to the park and not just the school. It's a Sunday so the school will not be open.
I will be located at the posted coordinates and will have a logbook for individuals to sign if they wish.
I will also have garbage bags and a limited supply of medium-sized gloves. If you have any kind of trash grabbing device, feel free to bring it along because I won't be providing them.
Trash will be collected and moved to the garbage bins located on site. The garbage is picked up regularly by the city of Guelph. You can either help to move it there at the end of the CITO or feel free to deposit your bag on your way out. Either option will be greatly appreciated!
