Mendon Ponds #2 Traditional Cache
Gimpy: After all these years and over 650 visits, this cache has been taken. Retrieved some remnants but not much left. Sorry to close the book on this one.

Located in Mendon Ponds Park in the area of the nature
trails.Plenty of paths heading all the way back to the cache
location.No heavy duty climbing.
I found this area after a bit of exploration & I really wanted
to put one back there.Cache container is a retired 50 cal. ammo
box, black with white lettering.Contents are a little different
than most of my other caches.There's a few inexpensive trinkets for
the kids but also some neat stuff for you big kids.The usual log
book is also enclosed.Trails head all the way back to the location
but when you get close,you'll have to leave the trail.There is a
large area back there with trails going in different
directions.Marking your vehicles location before wandering around
back there would be a good idea. Placed the cache in a spot where
it is relatively clear above. Both my units had steady fixes on 6
