This little church broke ground in October, 1959. The new church site was slated for an 8 acre tract at the Congo Overpass on the new Four-Lane Little Rock Highway that we now know as Interstate-30. The land was purchased for $14,000, and the lowest bid was $55,000 to build the structure. Worship services actually began at Howard Perrin Elementary school in February, 1959. Worshipers met at the school for a little over a year, but the following spring, March 6, 1960, the cornerstone was laid.
High muggle times will naturally be on Sunday mornings, and depending on the time of year, Wednesday evenings. The parking lot is also a favored park and hide for our local police and occasionally State Troopers. There are two ways in, one from Military road or from the I-30 frontage entrance. The frontage entrance is advised as it will be your easiest way to turn around. This cache is of regular size and kid friendly. Remember, if you take a treasure, replace a treasure. No rocks or sticks please unless they're crafted. Pets are also welcome. Please, respectfully do not drive on the grass.
