Geocache Description:

Arctic foxes are very clever and often depend on their arctic “friends” for food. The polar bear, after gnawing on the blubber of a marine animal, will usually leave the meaty part of the carcass behind. Arctic foxes follow polar bears and scavenge on these remains. The polar bear has what’s called a commensalistic relationship with arctic foxes meaning that one animal benefits from the relationship, while the other receives no harm or benefits. The arctic fox also knows that caribou will inadvertently help it to get food. The caribou dig up small mammals that spend the winter between the top snow layer and the ground as it finds its own food. This, too, is an example of a commensalistic relationship.

A very special thanks to REKAL for his ingenious caches and the inspiration for this one. Also thanks to Mr.TroveChasers for his help with this one!
