After Life TV series locations in Hampstead

We’ve put the way points in a certain order to avoid unnecessary waist of effort, but you can do them in any order you may wish to as the area this cache covers is not large. Please, remember always to have fun while you are looking for the clues and beware of muggles, after all Hampstead is a village with a lot of tourist movement, due to its charms.

Our journey begins at the entrance to Flask Walk, a tourist spot in Hampstead Village, which will serve as the starting point for our After Life’s adventure route.

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨

From this point on, it is important to warn that some spoilers about the TV series will appear throughout the text.

Location #1 (a 3 minute walk from the Hampstead Tube Station)

N51 33.343 W000 10.652

Tony needs to name a location for his first date after his wife's death. The experience of meeting Rebecca becomes, to say the least, unusual. After the date, Tony still helps to avoid a robbery when two suspects appear on a motorcycle, carrying a hammer.

Question: What is the fourth digit of the phone number for this restaurant?

Answer = A

Location #2 (a 4 minute walk)

N51 33.401 W000 10.633

Here is also a place that served for many dates of different characters in the TV series. Kath, more than once, appears bringing new boyfriend suitors, while the couple Pat and Roxy had a very pleasant first date.

Question: What is the last digit of the phone number for this restaurant?

Answer = D

Location #3 (a 3 minute walk)

N51 33.454 W000 10.545

On the bench closest to the two red boxes, a conversation takes place between Roxy and Tony, shortly after Julian's death. Behind the bench, it is also possible to see one of the garages that served as the residence of Tim Plester's character.

Question: The number of benches plus the number of red boxes (phone booths) in this small garden is C.

Answer = C

Location #4 (a 5 minute walk)

N51 33.551 W000 10.405

Early on in the TV series, Tony comes down this passageway and bumps into two teenagers who try to mug him. His sincerity turns out to be a secret weapon.

Question: According to the stone-built water fountain at the beginning of this passage, how many acres of land were donated by Susanna Noel to the benefit of the poor of Hampstead?

Answer = F

Location #5 (a 8 minute walk)

N51 33.745 W000 10.592

This place designates a house that served as interaction for many of the characters in the TV series. Not only its interior, but also in many of the scenes that took place at the door of the house or when Tony goes out for a walk with Brandy.

Question: In the After Life series, Tony's house had a fictional two-digit number. The sum of these two digits is E. (if you not a fan, don't worry... I get it. Just check the photo below)

Answer = E

Location #6 (a 3 minute walk)

N51 33.720 W000 10.502

One of Tony and Brandy's favorite spots, which appeared on several occasions and served as a place for reflection.

Question: How many speedboats are in the middle of the pond?

Answer = B

The final location where our cache is located is:

N51 33.ABC W000 10.DEF

Check sum for all the digits in the final coordinates = 41.

“Every end is a new beginning“

Now you have tracked through Hampstead, I hope you enjoyed the adventure we prepared in the real locations of the After Life TV series. But if you still feel like something else is missing, you’re right! There is also a virtual cache in the heart of Hampstead Heath called 'Parliament Hill'. This location hosted one of the most iconic scenes in the TV series, when in one of Tony and Brandy's many walks through the park, both appear sitting on one of the benches overlooking the beautiful view of Highgate area.

This location is about 1km away from our final destination. In addition to being a stunning place, you will still have the chance to rescue another beautiful cache, with the bonus of a wonderful view of the London skyline.

As Tony himself would say… Cheers!

******************

The almost 30 minutes cache’s route is poorly accessible, wheelchair users may need help navigating hills and unpaved areas, especially in the Vale of Health and Hampstead Heath areas.

Hampstead usually is a busy area with many tourists, especially during weekends. Please, use stealth when looking for the cache (which was been reflected in the difficulty rating).

And please replace the cache at the same location so that the hint can always remain accurate. Remember to hide out of sight and without being too obvious to curious muggles.
