English photographer John Hinde 1916 – 1997 was an important pioneer of colour photography, helping to make it a technical and commercially viable reality in Britain during the Second World War. He was also one of the most successful and prolific postcard publishers in the world.
The above scene was one of Hinde's iconic images of Ireland that were subsequently used on postcards and in tourist books celebrating Ireland. He spent much of his life in Ireland.
This image was taken some time in the 60's somewhere close to where the cache is hidden.
