CHARLES I

 

Oh, thr first Charlie was a real Charlie.  He liked word games....  but this one was a whammie for him

This is so easy peezy....

  1. Help Charles to uncover the size
  2. Solve the puzzle by using the 16 given clues
  3. Check your answer
  4. Get the Green Tick of satisfaction
  5. Drive to the final
  6. If you can't fly, bring a CED
  7. Sign the log with the pen you brought along
  8. Get the yellow smiley
  9. Smile back......

THE CLUES :

  • AXLES - which refer to the newly designed rear axle for the Royal Crown Carriage
  • CHILL - that described Charlie's efforts to calm recent discussions in Parliament
  • CROWBAR - is that horizontal piece of the Royal Witch's Crow's perch
  • EXPERTS - what he needed before he tried to marry Infanta Maria Anna
  • FUTURISTIC - was a term used to define matters one year forth, perhaps two
  • ILLUSION - ah, those illustrious few that could conjure images that lied to the brain
  • KNIVES - for the most part we refer to the longer 28" variety of the day
  • LESS - his power became less and less by arguing with Parliament until he lost his head
  • ORDINANCE - his marriage to a Roman Catholic caused his ordinance quite a stir
  • PRICELESS - yes, some folk believe that most decisions of his was indeed just that
  • SALMON - the first time this delicacy was plated for him, he thought it was a wingless bird
  • SCHUTE - Henriette Maria of France wanted him to "schute" someone once
  • SHUT - Charles was very fond of this word, especially when arguing his Divine Rights of Kings
  • STEEL - Charles dreamt of this to build the next Royal Carriage, and the Mini was born
  • TROUNCE - exactly what the Scottish did to Charles' reputation
  • WHEELBARROW - Charles was carried in a wheelbarrow to his grave after his execution
