Geocache Description:

Triangle Park, originaly known as Crossbill Park, is one of five parks developed as greenspace in the original 1911 neighborhood landscape plan.  The City of Audubon Park was established by the State Assembly in 1941 as a 6th class city on April 17.  It was later elevated to 5th class status in 1977.

The Audubon Park Garden Club was established in 1929. Its mission is “to encourage all residents of Audubon Park to promote, through cooperation, the improvement of Audubon Park as a garden and bird center, and to participate in local, state, and national garden and horticultural programs”. In 1978, through the efforts of city officials and members of the Garden Club, the City of Audubon Park was named a bird sanctuary.
