The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield is a nature center and wildlife sanctuary in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield, CT. The center maintains the 152-acre Roy and Margot Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary with seven miles of trails and boardwalks, including the Chiboucas wheelchair-accessible trail for the disabled. Open from dawn to dusk, the sanctuary is free to explore, though a donation is encouraged.
This cache is located along the Dirty Swamp Trail, east of its intersection with Muskrat Hollow in the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary. A leisurely hike along the pond is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the tranquility of nature. There's even a nice new bench, just past the cattails, where you can rest and soak it all in!
