Join us at Plum Lake/Softball Complex to participate in the 2023 Fall CITO event and help clean up a small area of our geocaching playground. Cache In Trash Out® is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources! Events might be focused on litter clean-up, removal of invasive species, revegetation efforts or building trails. Together, we make an enormous positive impact. Did we mention that we also have a bit of fun while we're at it?
This is a semi-annual event for us to give back to the community and earn a CITO souviner for those that have not had a CITO event this Fall. This event will take an hour or less and we have had some pretty amazing finds beyond the trash that always makes this an interesting outing. Snacks, water, and trash bags will be provided. Be sure to bring your gloves, trash 'grabbers', hat, sunscreen, and any other equipment you might need to help with this effort.
