This cache is one of several placed along the Greensand Ridge Walk between Beeston and Northill in Bedfordshire. This tree is definitely not a "Whomping Willow" but it would not take a great deal of imagination to see it come alive in a similar manner to the tree in the Harry Potter series. It was begging for a cache to be placed here as we are sure you will agree.
The Greensand Ridge Walk is a 40 mile long-distance route which crosses Bedfordshire from Leighton Buzzard in the south-west of the county to Sandy and Everton in the north-east, ending at Gamlingay across the county border in Cambridgeshire. Maps and more information can be found on the Central Bedfordshire Council website.
