This is the Puzzling Puzzlers event which had to take a long hiatus due to Covid restrictions. I am reviving the event on a "substitute organizer" basis; when AndyW3901 is ready to take over the event again, I will hand it back to him.  I do not have borrowing privileges in Chesterfield, so for the time being, the event will be held in Henrico, at the Gayton branch of the library.  

We try to begin the meeting by reviewing some puzzle-solving/puzzle-creation techniques. If you have a suggestion for a puzzle type or a puzzle-solving technique you'd like to see covered at this meeting, let me know!  If anyone wants to present some puzzle-solving techniques that you know, please let me know about that as well.  All ideas welcome!  Everyone bring your favorite maddening puzzles that you have not yet been able to solve and we'll have a work session.  Bring your laptop if possible; some puzzles don't solve very well on phones or tablets.

I know that we in CVGA are very casual about posting "will attend" notes for events; however, I do try to provide home-baked goods for everyone present, so please do post your intention to attend so that I know how much to bring!  (Probable treat this month:  Graham Cookie Bars.)

Note:  Please remember that we have a long-standing agreement not to rush out after the meeting and try to find any caches for which we solved puzzles during the meeting.  We leave it at least until morning so that everyone who worked on the puzzle gets a fair shot--especially if this is a new puzzle created with this event and FTF is at stake!

A new venue for the meeting obviously requires a new menu for the pre-event dinner. I am going to plan on having dinner at 5 p.m. at Chianti, 1304 Gaskins Rd., Richmond (N 37° 36.272′ W 77° 35.520′), and those who wish to do so are free to join me.  If you intend to come to dinner, please message me with the number of people who will be there.  There's plenty of room; we just cannot descend upon them without notice, as they do not have a large staff.  The dinner is not part of the event, and you are welcome to come to either or both.
