When I was much younger growing up in Central City the house my family lived in was not too far from Kernal Field, It was there that the young boys of summer would play Legion Baseball. Now when I was REALLY young I remember Kernal field was "laid out" differently than it is now, The bleachers were made of wood and sat on the Southeast corner of the "venue" and the ballfield faced Northwest, the parking was to the South and West of the bleachers and ballfield, but, to the North of the outfield and kinda to the West there was also a football field, it was there that the High School football team would play football, this field eventually moved to nearby the High School and is now Bison Field, I don't remember exactly when Kernal Field was renovated and became what it is today. None of that information has much of anything to do with this cache other than you will find it nearby a Legion Baseball field. HAPPY HUNTING and PLEASE be respectful of the area.
