Come out and visit one of the Pacific Northwest newest residents Ole Bolle.
Ole Bolle, the troll who lives on the campus of Nordic Northwest is part of a public art exhibit, Northwest Troll: Way of the Bird King, that includes six trolls created by Danish recycle artist Thomas Dambo. Fashioned out of recycled materials, the art installations turn trash into treasured trolls who tell a tale of protecting nature and honoring our land.
In Nordic mythology and folklore, trolls are known to be fierce protectors of nature.
A poem by the artist, Thomas Dambo:
There's something in the air, that something makes my belly rumble
Something smells so strong, it hits me almost makes me stumble
Could it be the little people cooking something smelly
In the big red cookie jar, so I can put them in my belly
We will meet up in the parking lot to talk geocaching or just to chit chat then we can all go meet Ole Bolle.
