Near gz is one of the several pontoons that float on the Wimmera River. Great for fishing, swimming and kayaks or just dipping your toes in during Summer. If you have children with you, please take care.
It also brings you to the 'new' bridge (B had already been taken lol). The 'old' Wimmera St Bridge was built in 1946 using timber pile piers, topped with a four spam steel beam and timber deck. Alas, it is no longer with us, but for history buffs there is an arbor on the corner of Lochiel and Lloyd Streets made from reclaimed timber from this bridge and an information board with much more information (S 36 27.226 E 142 01.577).
You are looking for a micro cache in a typical hiding spot. It can get very busy here in Summer and you may be in full view of campers.
