This cache was named after my horse Penny that I had growing up on the farm near Mayetta. She was named Penny due to her color that looked like a copper penny.
Having a horse back then was like having a pet dog and certainly no TV to watch out on the farm. For entertainment I taught Penny to open gates and other tricks. I had her from the time I was about 10 until about 18 years old. After I left home we decided to sell Penny to a farmer down the road. My dad forgot to tell the new owner that Penny knew how to open gates. It wasn't long until Penny was back at our fram after escaping her new home. This happend a couple of more times, until the farmer used a new gate that Penny didn't know how to open. I heard that Penny lived a nice long life on the new farm.
