Life - to sustain ourselves, a basic need is water... the lack of running water in the fountain. does this represent the state of this country?
Democracy - the nearby intersection has recently changed its name to
"Democracy Square" as since 29/12/2022 there are demonstrations
against the judicial reform in the intersection at least every Saturday evening.
Pilots - I am not talking about pens. In Israel soldiers that become pilots in the IDF are considered in high regard. Lots of pilots after finishing their obligatory reserve duty continue to volunteer in the IDF AF
and in doing so raise its experience, readiness, and capabilities.
The Drinking Pilot statue - in my opinion and in a total coincidence - represents all.
Our highly regarded soldiers working to protect this country in the democracy square... but lacking a basic need to sustain their life...
hopefully the "water" in the fountain will return!
