Welcome to The Meat Trail! This is a trail i love to ride following the old Peterborugh/Wasleys/Roseworthy train line.
Depending on how you tackle this, a climb up a slope may be required!
The Meat Trail started back in 2016. And now in 2023 it's finally finished! The last few caches laid in 2022 but only now have I finally gotten off my butt to publish them! That is all thanks to the amazing AussieGal88. We met in Sept23 when I answered her hails to find a previously laid cache (SMILE!). I helped her find that one in person and a friendship was made and I was highly encouraged by her to finish the trail, which we've now done! We caught up the following weekend and overhauled the ENTIRE trail! This trail can now stretch from Gawler to Wasleys. So massive thanks to AG88 for the kick up the butt to get it done.
Mudla Wirra Reserve
What a view! Sit down, take it in and have rest. In front of you is the Mudla Wirra Reserve, also know as the Pengilly Scrub. 20 hectares of untouched remnant mallee vegetation. There is so much going on in there! So much vegetation and wild life, but did you know there are actually two massive sand dunes in there? Bird photographers will have a field day out here!
