Do you know this lottery? In Japan, it is called "Amidakuji", a type of "lottery" that has been in existence for 700 years, but does not exist in the West. Try it for a second. あみだくじ（阿弥陀籤）
皆さんご存じあみだくじ。室町時代から行われていたが、現在のものと違い、真ん中から放射線状に線を書いて、それを引くものであった。これが阿弥陀如来の後光に似ていたことから「あみだ」くじと呼ばれるようになったそうな。
数学的には横線が何本あっても答えが重複することはない。が、外国の方にはとてもびっくりされるという事実を日本人は知らない。あみだくじが存在するのは日本・中国・韓国だけだから。
