Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Ruddy Doctor Caches, a series of puzzles linked together loosely with a whimsical story following the various regenerations of my favourite Time Lord.

The puzzles are nestled away in passages linking the various Doctor’s regeneration scenes, so you’ll usually need to at least skim through to find the goods and the occasional clue. You can assume coordinates are N 52° XX.XXX' W 001° XX.XXX' and will need you own pen and tweezers. All were conceived and placed by Doctor RuddRobins + checked and difficulty assessed by Mrs RuddRobins.

The notes at the end are random Docfacts not needed to complete the puzzle. I hope you find it all mildly amusing and it keeps you out of trouble for at least a little while smiley

The Doctor walks out of the TARDIS, on top of Durdle Door. The ocean ahead of her. The sun is starting to rise. She looks out to sea. Breathes it in. ( Birds call, waves lap )

The Doctor: "Oh, the blossomiest blossom. That's the only sad thing. I want to know what happens next. Right, then. Doctor Whoever-I'm-about-to-be... tag, you're it."

She bursts triumphantly into ORANGE FLAME -- Swallowing up her face, as she looks to the skies, surrendering to it, letting it in -- now her whole body on regenerative fire. As the regeneration energy fades, the doctor feels his face ( He gasps )

Fourteenth = (older) Tenth Doctor: "I know these teeth. What? What? What?!"

The Doctor "No: no-no-no - this isn't right! I feel like I've been shattered into 494 pieces and need somebody to put me back together before I can continue . . . "

Can you help put the doctor back together ready for their anniversary adventure? cool

The first episode of Doctor Who was broadcast at 5:16 p.m. on Saturday 23 November 1963 which makes 2023 the 60th anniversary year and the show returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the anniversary. With a new/old 14th Doctor with the returning David Tennant, a subsequent 15th Doctor waiting in the wings (Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will air over the festive period) & the return of the great Russell T Davies as showrunner PLUS a massive boost in budget by Disney+ signing up for worldwide distribution: it's going to be one big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey stuff!

Just as viewers were about to enter the ballroom for the first live show of Strictly Come Dancing 2023, they were transported to the TARDIS with an exclusive new trailer revealing more of what’s to come when Doctor Who returns this November.

The trailer features Neil Patrick Harris waltzing onto the scene, now revealed as the Toymaker, all-powerful enemy last seen in 1966 - but what is it that brings the Doctor face-to-face with this enemy from his past?

Also shown, UNIT is back with Jemma Redgrave reprising her iconic role as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart alongside David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. Previous Doctor Who episodes have seen UNIT operate on a fairly discreet basis, with much of their operations taking place underground beneath the Tower of London, or in unmarked buildings as is common for large skyscrapers around the English capital. That no longer appears to be the case. In a building that resembles Stark Tower from The Avengers, UNIT appears to have taken its operation and public profile to a whole new level. This building is still located in London, as it can be seen from the surrounding buildings, but it's a new Skyscraper no longer in the Shard.

We also see Donna and the Doctor standing in front of a wall with a large rectangular dent. Donna says, "There is something so bad the TARDIS ran away," to which the Doctor replies, "Yes." In a blink-and-you-'ll-miss-it shot earlier in the trailer, the image of the TARDIS having crashed into this wall is shown. For the TARDIS to have crashed in such a manner and then run away from the Doctor instead of protecting its oldest friend, something is seriously wrong

EDIT: The Doctor may have just regenerated from Jodie Whittaker's final episode, but he hadn't quite finished changing just yet at there were more surprises to come in the last of the threee specials when, for the first time, The Doctor was seen to Bi-Generate! Bi-generation was a variant of regeneration which The Doctor believed to be a myth. Instead of one incarnation directly transforming into the next, bi-generation caused the new incarnation to split from the previous, allowing the two to become independent beings. This resulted in The Fourteenth Doctor continuing to exist as an incarnation distinct from the newly created Fifteeth Doctor from his personal future and commemorate that, this cache is bi-generating itself - you can still solve the puzzle bleow, or just go straight to N 052 51.561 W001 09.617 and grab the prize as a reward for reading this far!

So, what were you doing in November 2023 - tuning in to the show? If not, why not get stuck in to a commemorative geocache puzzle: and this time it really is a puzzle - you know the drill: click below and get solving to have the final co-ords materialise on your screen.
