Geocache Description:

There is a mile hike on a marked trail. it can be hot in the summer. Bring water! I hiked this trail when I was a cub scout. It is tough but not tecnical.

Posey's trail was named after an outlaw indian who used this trail to escape a posse during the indian war of 1923. Driving south out of Blanding on highway 191, Turn onto Hwy 95 drive 10.5 miles to the trailhead. park at N37 30.987 W109 38.041. Go southwest to the fence and you will see a wood ladder to cross the fence. The trail is marked with rocks and tree limbs. Follow the trail for about a mile to N37 30.863 W109 38.813 (the view from here is worth the hike!) From here leave the trail. Go about 70' north to the cache. Good luck and enjoy!
