Lincoln Trap & Skeet founded in the 1933 as the Lincoln Gun Club originally located a short distance Northeast of their current location.
The goal of skeet shooting is to foster amateur sports competition and shotgun target shooting to educate people in the proper conduct and effective techniques of target shooting and the safe and effective use of shotgun. Skeet shooting helps develop good sportsmanship and in general, promotes and advances the development of amateur competition.
Interesting facts:
1955 – Relocated to current location under their current name.
1956 – Current clubhouse was built
1977 – Wooden skeet houses were replaced with concrete block houses
1988 – Targets thrown: 687,700
1992 – Targets thrown: 1,001,050
2022 - Targets thrown: 1,435,000
