Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden right before Twins Cave, on the red trail along Cave Wadi.

The general area is Nahal Dolev natural reserve.

The cache is hidden right before the cave, deep in the marked rock. Very accessible for geocachers. Please use stealth if needed.

4 stones cover the cache, two in the front, two in the back.

Make sure you put the cache back deep enough, and cover as you found it or better.

How to get here?

Drive north on route 3855 (coming from route 375) and turn right when.. spotting the sign of the cave :)

The entrance is a little south of Zanoach village.

If coming from Beit Shemesh and driving south you will need to make a U turn when possible.

The trail to the cave

There is parking after maybe 500 meters of dirt road. From the parking, take the red trail east. Distance is half a mile. Terrain is rocky in some parts, and interesting.

The cave

This is a karst cave, with stalagmites/stalagtites. Its length is 75 meters. Reaching its end, near the pool, there is complete darkness if closing all light sources.

The cave hosts bat colonies, although they are not terribly noisy.

Cave is closed during November-March (bats need to hibernate).

The name of the cave comes from an arabic folks tale.

It was discovered that the cave was used during the Bar Cochva revolt.

What to bring?

Bring flashlights, and good shoes for the slippery parts.
