When I drove up to the cul-de-sac it was full of emergency vehicles with lights flashing and sirens going . Everybody heading down towards the river with guns out. My vehicle was trapped and my hide was the other direction so why not make my hide! I skirted around the outside of everybody, along the tree line & then ducked between two pines. Just then I heard somebody yell STOP , THERE HE IS and then gunfire. I freaked out & dove into the bush . I could hear dogs barking and getting close. There was more gun shots and I could hear branches snapping. I was to scared to move but out of habit I jammed the cache in a hiding spot. Just then I heard don't move & looked up to see a bear pointing a rifle at me. At this point I woke up. Got quit making caches just before I go to bed.
The final 5 to 15 feet is a bit of a bushwack
Bring a pen, watch for wildlife & be nice to the park.
