This is my FIRST CACHE I've ever placed! Enjoy a nice hike along this trail (Wildlife Habitat Trail) and look for the 'wise mystical tree.'
You will need to enter into Burr Oaks Woods Conservation Area to get to the trail. Please be sure to only enter during posted hours (generally sunup to sundown). Drive to the waypoint which is the parking lot at the trailhead.
This is a hike so make sure to wear proper footwear/clothing for a nature hike in the woods. You can choose to enjoy the full hike and retrieve this geocache on your way out. Ground Zero is near the END of the hike. The 'Long trail" if you're going the right way, is approximately 1.4 miles (114 ft elevation gain, along a wood chip trail. It's estimated that the entire trail would take 31 minutes to complete. There is a shortcut if you want to make it quicker AND IF YOU WANT TO CHEAT, you can go backwards where it says ONE WAY as the cache is very close for a quick 'illegal' grab. Your choice!
There shouldn't be any weedwacking necessary as this is a well maintained trail and it is close to the path. However, there are the normal ticks and other outdoor creatures to look out for.
