Since Rhino34 just placed a cache in honor of his cat, I decided I better get to it, as I have been meaning to do one for 40andholding's cat Oliver for quite awhile now. The day we found his tribute cache, we located a spot, but it was not available. So since 40andholding rescued Oliver near here we decided to get a cache placed in this area. I never knew 40andholding's other cats but Oliver was my buddy for a long time.
40andholding has had a number of rescue cats and we recently buried their ashes (Otis, Chloe, Nick/Nick, Rags, Paisley, and of course my good buddy Oliver. He became close after I met 40andholding and was always the man of the house!. He was very affectionate and was very needy, but he certainly got the attention from us that he wanted as we were happy to share.
We still miss him very much, and I still talk to him, especially when I am working on a puzzle and cannot locate a piece. I ask him where it is and in seconds it is in my hand, so I still consider him around.
I never met the other cats, but 40andholding says that they were great cats as well.and also very affectionate.
Oliver will be missed, but he also has three trackables named after him that are floating around but seemed to have disappeared. Thanks for visiting my buddy!
