This cache is part of the WERDAVE 80 for 80 series celebrating WERDAVE's 80th birthday and his extensive contributions to cache hiding in the Santa Clara Valley.
Many of the parks close to home have already been claimed by others for this series, so I decided to look for less well-known spots. I remember exploring this road by bicycle once - it climbs and climbs until the paved road ends and a dirt road begins.
At that point, there is a sign by MROSD that says "Area Closed: Do not enter". It seemed like such an odd place for a Midpen sign that it stuck in my mind.
Anyway, I thought I would mark the area with a nano so that at least one of the WERDAVE birthday caches would have "Nano" in the title.
