Geocache Description:

This cache IS hidden at the posted coordinates!

---

During the summer of 2023, I was fortunate enough to go on a geocaching road trip with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson all the way from Missouri to Pennsylvania. We found a lot of wonderful caches along the way; oldies, lab caches, virtuals and even some letterboxes.  But there were a whole bunch that I wasn't eligible to log: Challenge Caches. You see, I don't have a lot of caching finds. I am working on it though ;-) Still, I kept hoping that there'd be challenges that a beginner like me would be able to log. So with the encouragement and help from my grandson, we decided to hide some along the wonderful Harrisburg Greenbelt. With the permission from the Susquehanna Twp. Parks Department, of course.

In order to hide a Challenge Cache you yourself have to qualify, so I'm hoping that cachers of all experience levels will be able to log these finds. The Difficulty level reflects the challenge difficulty (and find difficulty if you choose to use the attached spoiler picture) while the Terrain level is indicative of the physical challenge you'll be facing.

------

This is a Challenge Cache; you must meet the requirements in order to log a find. There's probably a 99% chance that you do but there's a checker way below just in case. OK, now how do you qualify for this challenge?

Perhaps like you, when I began geocaching I thought every cache was just something hidden in the woods with coordinates. I had no idea about the many cache types and the seemingly infinite number of ways and places you can put a cache. When my grandson told me about the different types of caches my mind was blown! Puzzles to find caches? Wow! My first Mystery Cache was in the excellent Duck Walk geo-art series in the Outer Banks. Beginners should definitely expand their style and incorporate more Unknowns.

So to qualify you need to have found 5 Mystery/Unknown caches. Of my 93 finds at the time of cache publication I have collected 18 mystery caches. You probably have a lot more. And if you get the other four A Beginner's Challenge Trail caches before this, you only need one more mystery! This terrain could be quite thorny so be careful.
