Geocache Description:

---

During the summer of 2023, I was fortunate enough to go on a geocaching road trip with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson all the way from Missouri to Pennsylvania. We found a lot of wonderful caches along the way; oldies, lab caches, virtuals and even some letterboxes.  But there were a whole bunch that I wasn't eligible to log: Challenge Caches. You see, I don't have a lot of caching finds. I am working on it though ;-) Still, I kept hoping that there'd be challenges that a beginner like me would be able to log. So with the encouragement and help from my grandson, we decided to hide some along the wonderful Harrisburg Greenbelt. With the permission from the Susquehanna Twp. Parks Department, of course.

In order to hide a Challenge Cache you yourself have to qualify, so I'm hoping that cachers of all experience levels will be able to log these finds. The Difficulty level reflects the challenge difficulty (and find difficulty if you choose to use the attached spoiler picture) while the Terrain level is indicative of the physical challenge you'll be facing.

------

This is a challenge cache; you must meet the requirements in order to log a find. There's probably a 99% chance that you do but there's a checker way below just in case. OK, now how do you qualify for this challenge?

I've found most of my caches while being a tourist and it's taken me to amazing places that I never would have gone to without geocaching. That's me and my grandson in the background picture at the Gateway Arch.

So to qualify you need collect 40 tourism-related attributes: 10 Short Hike, 10 Recommended for Tourists, 10 Takes Less Than One Hour and 10 Park and Grab. You could complete this one with just 10 total caches. Of my 93 finds at the time of cache publication I have exactly 10 short hikes (just qualified for this one), 23 recommeded for tourist, 51 takes less than one hour and 17 park and grabs. This find should be simple to get to but you will probably encounter thorns and the terrain could get dicey. My grandson helped me with this hide and that's him in the spoiler pic.
