This cache is part of the WERDAVE 80 for 80 series celebrating WERDAVE's 80th birthday and his extensive contributions to geocaching in the Santa Clara Valley.
This location used to be a dirt parking lot trailhead for Shannon Valley Open Space. Then one day they paved it over and added an absurdly large gate. I have never seen the gate open.
Why spend money to pave it if it is gated off all the time? That is something I've been wondering for years. Does anyone know?
I wanted to hide a nano on the absurdly large gate, but it's just a little too close to another cache, so I'm making it a multi. Collect the information at the posted coordinates to determine the final coordinates a short walk away.
