Tupolev Tu-134
The Tupolev Tu-134 is a Soviet-designed airliner that entered service first with Aeroflot in 1967. The first of two prototypes had its maiden flight on July 29, 1963. During its production run, which lasted until 1989, a total of 854 airframes were built. The planes were built in Kharkiv in today's Ukraine. The plane was used by pretty much every airline within the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War. The design was rugged and pretty safe. Most of the major incidents with the type occurred after 1990, when the airframes started to show their age and the lack of maintenance in the post-Soviet times became obvious. The last passenger flight within Russia was in 2019, and since then, the only remaining civil airline operating the type is Air Kyoro in North Korea. Despite their age, quite a number of planes are still active with the air forces of Russia, Syria, and Ukraine.
This Tu-134 is set up as a monument outside Chisinau Airport. It's just a 5 minute walk from the terminal building. If you're looking for the cache, it's on the right side of the plane (if you stand in front of it) at the landing gear. See spoiler picture if necessary.
