Come join the Georgia Geo-Campers in a photo scavenger hunt that will have you combing high and low throughout the local area for who knows what kind of crazy things.
A photo scavenger hunt is a game where teams of players snap pictures of clues to win points. While this challenge can be done solo, we encourage teams of 3 or more to be able to have the most fun.
Each team will be given a digital camera with an SD card to use for the scavenger hunt. While some of the tasks on the list can be done in the park, be prepared to venture into the neighboring communities if you want a chance of completing all the tasks on the list. The more photo ops completed the more points for your team.
The photo-taking portion of this challenge is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., With judging and a group presentation to about 6 p.m.
You can complete the tasks in the best way you know how, just be creative and have fun. All photos must be checked in by 3 p.m. Only pictures on the given SD card will be eligible for the game.
Once you have completed (or as much as you can before 3 pm) you will bring the camera and card to the Lowdollar judging team in the park office museum. Judging will be completed with each team present while reviewing the pictures and your score tallied. The highest team score WINS!
Whether you scrambled around the area taking pictures or just chilled in the park everyone will get to participate in the shenanigans as we announce the big winners and present a slideshow of all the entries from about 4 to 530 at the park office museum (see additional waypoint for park office).
Major Awards will be given to the top team and a few for some of the best or most creative pictures in a few categories.
Space is limited and we will try and accommodate all who want to participate but please indicate in your will attend if you plan on participating in the hunt and how many in your team so we can be our best prepared.
