Geocache Description:

After reading an article written by Dennis McCann in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Sunday, November 24, 2002 we knew that PharmTeam should place a cache at this site. Sir Wellcome was born on a hardscrabble farm in this area and lived there until he was 8 when he moved to Minnesota. After going to pharmacy school in Chicago and Philadelphia he moved to England and became a citizen. He became a partner in the company Burroughs Wellcome, which specialized in compressed tablets We have both dispensed many prescriptions made by the company he co-founded. Among the products made by this company were Empirin Compound and Lanoxin. After many mergers in the last few years the Wellcome name has disappeared the resulting company is Glaxo Smith Kline. The cache is a small black container and hidden within the 10x10 foot area of the sign.
