Geocache Description:

This cache marks the location where I watched the 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse on October 14th, 2023 at approximately 9:15 A.M.. When you arrive here, you'll probably see the reason why I chose this spot, although when I arrived on that day a local family had claimed the spot first. Undeterred, I found a spot not too far away and watched the eclipse from there instead. The moon almost completely blocked out the sun, resulting in a stunning 'Ring of Fire' effect. It was a beautiful sight, and an extroardinarily rare one at that. I am fortunate to have witnessed it in a prime location.

Terrain rating is for the hike up, which is strenuous. Bring water, and watch your step. Actual find shouldn't be too hard. Cache is a camoe'd pill bottle. Please note that the locking mechanism broke on the pill bottle when I was assembling it--the cache will not lock, but it will still close firmly. Please make sure the lid is on tight when you return it. I also placed a small rock in the cache for added weight. President Lincoln awaits the FTF. Good luck!
