The Sherwin-Williams Co. is engaged in the development, manufacture, distribution and sale of paint, 
coatings and related products to professional, industrial, commercial and retail customers. Founded by Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams in Cleveland, Ohio in 1866, Sherwin-Williams paint has been manufactured in Garland since the 1950s. On August 7, 2023, around 1:20 a.m., the Sherwin Williams plant had multiple explosions that turned into a massive fire. There was only one minor injury of an employee.
