This cache is to honor 10,000 finds for Lmcgisme, our instigator, our mentor, our inspiration and our sister.
Lisa started caching back in 2005 or so, and pulled all of us into this great hobby. She has planned family caching adventures that have taken us all over the U.S and even overseas. When we cache together we go by the team name Fleet Feet & the Huff-n-Puffs - FFHP on the logs.
She taught us well. We have found caches while hiking, no GPS, but by geo-trail. She taught us about high favorite points and gadget caches, one of her favorite types. Always eager to learn new things herself, Earth Caches are also a favorite, and she likes Virtuals because there is usually something interesting to see.
She has cached in all 50 states - including every county in two of them, 651 counties total, 22 countries, and five continents. Distance between caches found, if laid in a straight line, would go around Earth almost 15 times, or to the moon and halfway back! She has 19 GeoAchievement Badges, nine of them 5 star - the highest rating.
She has filled her Fizzy 3 times, and is only a few combinations short of a fourth Fizzy. Her Jasmer has been filled for years. She plans our trips to swing around Jasmer or Fizzy needs for us, and oldies for everyone. She’s closing in on the oldest cache in every state. We call Lmcgisme our “Little Wizard” because she’s our little sister, but mostly because she has walked, talked, emailed and Facebooked us through countless technical and computerological issues, with grace, clarity, and lots of patience. Her enthusiasm and energy inspire us. Her spirit of adventure and get-up-and-go attitude are admirable.
