Mr. Norm Westbrook donated this piece of his land at more than 100 acres in NW Marion County as a future park, after his passing. He did so because he was very successful in life and wanted to give back to the citizens of Marion County so they can enjoy this beautiful property as much as he did. He even kept the property manicured as a park for many years. Mr. Westbrook was quoted as saying, “…if there is any property in the area that could be made into a park, this piece is it!”
This cache is located close to the parking area for the Equestrian Trail. It is a wide 1.5 Mile loop trail designed for horses and their riders, but hikers are welcome also. Just be sure to read the rules and regulations sign at the trailhead and respect all other trail users please.
