大田区にある面白い地名の一つに「道々橋（どどばし）」があります。
呑川に架けられた橋で現在はもちろん鉄筋で出来ていますが、馬で往来をしていた時代は一本橋だったと言われています。
そのため馬が怖がってなかなか渡ろうとしないのを、馬上から「どうどうどう…」と声を掛けて歩みを進めたところから、
「道々橋」という名がついたそうです。
道々とは設置していません。
